The biggest Fish Fish: King Herring (Regalecus glesne) earthquake omen

King Herring (Regalecus glesne)

This creature is oarfish, also known as the longest bone in the fish world, but unfortunately they will become extinct so that the fish will be categorized in the most rare animal in dunia.Oarfish
Othernames: Ribbon Fish
Scientific Names: Regalecus glesne
Size Range: 10-50 feet
Habitat: Mediterranean & East Atlantic

These fish belong to the category of rare and very seldom seen. I was so scarce that this fish is never caught on camera in a viable state until 2001.

He belongs to the family Regalecidae which has four species. One species, Regalecus glesne, we're talking about this, never entered into the Guinness Book of World Records because it never found a living with a body length up to 11 meters.

The food is plankton and tiny sea creatures are seldom visible or lainnya.Ikan fishermen caught because he usually found at depths of about 1,000 meters. Very rare fish which briefly looked like a snake (or even a dragon?) The tour at a depth of less than 2,000 meters .. Oddly enough, this fish has no scales. His body was covered only by a kind of membrane, called guanine.

This fish has a red single fin and fish, including a loner. However, when these fish are sick or dying, it looks like the loner is not want to die in loneliness. So he climbed to the top surface of the sea and remained there until death. Maybe to attract the attention of the sailors, or just want to look at the sun for the last time.

The sailors of the past may have seen this fish at the surface and perceive it as a sea monster. For example, in 1860, when a 5-meter long Oarfish stranded on the shore of Bermuda, the residents immediately link it with the legendary sea monster.

But in recent weeks, there are dozens of king vultures who washed up on shore (as he often stranded whales) or trapped Japanese fishing nets.
At least there are 10 king vultures are stranded and trapped in fishing nets Prefecture (like provinces) Ishikawa. Some of the nets caught on Toyopa Prefecture. Others reportedly appeared in Kyoto prefecture, Shimane, and Nagasaki. All areas were in northern Japan.

According to Japanese legend, the king of vultures is emerging from the depths to bring the message would be coming earthquake. Similar to a belief in Indonesia that one sign of the mountain would erupt if the animal in the forest is already down the mountain.
But for Japan's own experts, they claimed that the giant herring relationship with the quake just superstition. "There is no scientific connection between the appearance of it by an earthquake," said Hiroshi Tajihi, Deputy Director of the Kobe Earthquake Center.
